Is there a way to find all subdomains? ›

Subdomain Finder scans the DNS records and supplementary databases to analyze the domain's hierarchy. Our subdomain scanner checks: DNS records (NS, MX, TXT, AXFR) DNS enumeration.

As long as you use them correctly, subdomains are fine for your SEO performance.

Google should be able to crawl and index your subdomains based on the URLs included in the primary domain's sitemap. However, it is recommended that you monitor the indexing status of your subdomains in Google Search Console to ensure that they are being indexed properly.

Each domain name can have up to 500 subdomains. You can also add multiple levels of subdomains, such as info.blog.yoursite.com. A subdomain can be up to 255 characters long, but if you have multiple levels in your subdomain, each level can only be 63 characters long.

We can use site: operator in Google search to find all the Subdomains that Google has found for a Domain. Lets take an example on “site:vulnweb.com”.

Choose a subdomain only if it suits your business strategy

Unnecessary subdomains can over-complicate your SEO strategy, but sometimes, you need to distinguish one part of your business from another.

While a subdomain will appear before your TLD, a subdirectory link will include the subdirectory name after the original TLD. For example: Subdomain example: mysubdomain.mywebsite.com. Subdirectory example: mywebsite.com/mysubdirectory.

However, Google treats subdomains as separate sites.

While “blog.example.com” and “example.com” may share a root domain, Googlebot will view them as distinct domains and crawl and index them accordingly.

subfinder is a subdomain enumeration tool written in the Go programming language. Subfinder is used for discovering passive subdomains of websites by using digital sources like Censys, Chaos, Recon. dev, Shodan, Spyse, Virustotal, and many other passive online sources.

Default subdomain www is used by 39.7% of all the websites.
