Wawrinka: 'Respect for a great champion'

Stan Wawrinka spoke to Eurosport after his victory over Andy Murray: "My first words were respect for a great champion. I have loved watching him play, loved fighting against him. We've had a lot of fights over the last 15 years. We are not very young so we did all we could and remember all these moments.
"I love to work in front of a crowd like this. I've shared a lot of emotion with this crowd and they gave me a lot of energy to fight. In my head I'm still a young guy, still a kid."

Murray gets in trouble in the opening game for the third set running, falling behind 30-0. He gets Wawrinka to go long before hitting into the net on the next point, getting the score back to 30-30.
A powerful backhand down the line puts Wawrinka back ahead though, giving him another break point. He capitalises immediately, winning with an almost identical backhand.

He serves and volleys to win the game and stay alive in the second set.
At one point during the game he thought he had an ace only to have a let called, prompting him to ask the official about the net technology. Only it turns out that this tournament doesn't have automated calls for the net.
