Once you have completed the Main Story in Super Mario Odyssey, you'll find Koopa Freerunning Races in almost every Kingdom. You can compete against the Roving Racers in these challenges to be the first to get to a goal point somewhere on the map.

If you reach the goal in first place, ahead of the other Koopa racers, you'll be rewarded with a Power Moon - one for the Regular Cup, and again when you unlock the Moon Rock Power Moons and race again for the Master Cup. The Master Cup, while using the same route, pits you against a much faster Gold Koopa.

Below you will find a list of each race in the different Kingdoms, along with tips and tricks to place in first - and to beat your friends times!

Cap Kingdom Cup

In the Cap Kingdom, the Cap Kingdom Power Moon 29 - Cap Kingdom Master Cup and the Cap Kingdom Power Moon 15 - Cap Kingdom Regular Cup are two of the Power Moons you can obtain.

These Power Moons can be found in Quadrant B4, near the top of Top Hat Tower.

Head back up top of Top Hat Tower to find a Koopa Troopa with a leaderboard for races. You'll need to race the other Koopas from the top of the tower.

Start by making a long jump off the rim of the tower onto the bridge below, and use rolls and long jumps to gain speed until you can head along to the second bridge, and veer right while rolling to pick up speed and reach the top of the hill first.

Cascade Kingdom Cup

In the Cascade Kingdom, the Cascade Kingdom Power Moon 22 - Cascade Kingdom Regular Cup and Cascade Kingdom Power Moon 36 - Cascade Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Cascade Kingdom.

These Power Moons can be found in Quadrant D4, near the Odyssey Landing Site.

The Koopas will challenge you to a freerunning course up the hills and to the base of the Fossil Falls where the 8-bit mural is.

The path is fairly straight forward, but you can triple jump up the cliff walls where the Odyssey was first discovered and use Cappy to dive back over the ledge, then double back under the falls using the Cappy cloud platforms to bypass the Stone Bridge and reach the end.

Sand Kingdom Cup

The Sand Kingdom has two Power Moons, the Sand Kingdom Power Moon 66 - Sand Kingdom Regular Cup and the Sand Kingdom Power Moon 83 - Sand Kingdom Master Cup that are found from freerunning challenges.

After completing the Main Story, warp to the Tostarena Northwest Reaches and find a Koopa who will challenge you to a free-running race. You can utilize Jaxi here to gain a lot of speed on your opponents, but the Master Cup will require expert control - and keep to the right of the leaning pillars so you don't get stuck behind other racers.

Lake Kingdom Cup

In the Lake Kingdom, the Lake Kingdom Power Moon 32 - Lake Kingdom Regular Cup and Lake Kingdom Power Moon 40 - Lake Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Lake Kingdom.

These Power Moons can be found at Quadrant D4, by the Odyssey Landing site, only after you have completed the main Story.

Speak to the Koopa near the Odyssey Landing Site to initiate a race to the Water Plaza. Ignore the Underwater tunnel, and triple jump across the hill from the binoculars towards the wall - and use Cappy to gain height by diving and jumping up again to cross the wall.

Then hurry across the lake surface to the flower trampoline to jump up to the finish line.

Wooded Kingdom Cup

In the Wooded Kingdom, the Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 53 - Wooded Kingdom Regular Cup and Wooded Kingdom Power Moon 69 - Wooded Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Wooded Kingdom.

This Power Moon is found in Quadrant C2, and can only be found after the Main Story is complete.

Warp to Forest Charging Station and race the koopas. You can win this one by skipping the maze and Uproot entirely - long jump and then triple jump to bypass the beanstalk entirely and dive down to the lower creek into a roll.

Once you climb up to the maze where the Uproots area, skip then and take a running long jump across the gap to the left of the maze. In mid-air, throw Cappy and dive into the hat to gain a new jump, and dive again to bypass the main and get to the end.

Lost Kingdom Cup

In the Lost Kingdom, the Lost Kingdom Power Moon 24 - Lost Kingdom Regular Cup and Lost Kingdom Power Moon 30 - Lost Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Lost Kingdom.

This Power Moon is won through a freerunning race by a Koopa near the Odyssey Landing Site.

The race is fairly challenging, so make use of your jumps and dives to extend your reach as you go up Swamp Hill and across to the Mountain Path. Dive jump to extend around the walls so you don't have to wait for the Trapeetles to reach the goal before the Koopas.

Metro Kingdom Cup

In the Metro Kingdom, the Metro Kingdom Power Moon 61 - Metro Kingdom Regular Cup and the Metro Kingdom Power Moon 74 - Metro Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Metro Kingdom.

You can find this Power Moon in Quadrant C4. Warp to the Rooftop Garden flag and head East, crossing over top of the buildings until you see the Green Koopa. Speak with him to begin the race.

To easily beat the Golden Koopa, drop down between the two buildings directly ahead of the starting line and into the alleyway below. Head towards the New Donk City Hall and use the power line on the East side of the building to ascend (Quadrant A3).

Once you reach the end of the power line, you can immediately jump on another one directly next to it. This will take you to the very top of City Hall. Cross to the West side of the City Hall rooftop and long jump off.

You should easily reach the finish line near the rooftop pool. Win the race and you will be rewarded the Power Moon.

Snow Kingdom Cup

In the Snow Kingdom, the Snow Kingdom Power Moon 35 - Snow Kingdom Regular Cup and the Snow Kingdom Power Moon 51 - Snow Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons located in the Snow Kingdom.

You can find these Power Moons in Quadrant B2. Warp to the Above the Ice Well flag and head up the hill to the Northwest. You will see a Green Koopa on a ledge. Speak with him to begin the race.

This race takes place in a blizzard, making it hard to tell where you should go. To win easily, jump into the water below and capture the Cheep Cheep.

Use his quick swimming to go around the middle island and reach the walkway on the other side. Use your hat to rip up the wooden peg in the ground (Quadrant C3), then ride the air jet to the top of the pillar next to it. From here simply walk up the hill to the goal (hit the Ty-foo with your hat if you need to stop his air jet).

It can help to get a feel for where all these things are outside of the race, which will make it easier to find your way in the blizzard. Beat the Golden Koopa's time and you will get the Power Moon.

Seaside Kingdom Cup

In the Seaside Kingdom, theSeaside Kingdom Power Moon 51 - Seaside Kingdom Regular Cup and the Seaside Kingdom Power Moon 67 - Seaside Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Seaside Kingdom.

You can find these Power Moons on the line between Quadrants B3 and 4. Warp to the Hot Springs Island flag and head West along the sandbar until you see a Green Koopa. Speak with him to begin the Koopa Race.

This Koopa Race is somewhat challenging, but there is an easy way to guarantee your victory. As soon as the race begins, head left and capture the Cheep Cheep swimming between the poles. Use its superior speed to ascend to the sandbar above, where you can switch back to Mario.

Then use Mario's hat to grab a nearby Rocket Flower and run out onto the water. Head straight for the nearest Gushen and capture it. Use the Gushen's jet stream to propel yourself toward the Rolling Canyon.

However instead of going into the canyon head directly for the cliff with the finish line on top. You will discover that three forks have been added to the cliff's right side. Jump out of the Gushen and use the forks to quickly fling yourself to the top of the cliff, and reach the finish.

Luncheon Kingdom Cup

In the Luncheon Kingdom, the Luncheon Kingdom Power Moon 55 - Luncheon Kingdom: Regular Cup and the Luncheon Kingdom Power Moon 62 - Luncheon Kingdom: Master Cup are two of the Power Moons located at the Luncheon Kingdom.

You can find these Power Moons in Quadrant B1. Warp to the Top of the Peak Climb flag and then long jump off the Eastern cliffside, onto the platform with the two lanterns and the door below. There you will also find a Green Koopa. Speak with him to enter the race.

This race is fairly easy, jump use long jumps to cross the ooze, then scale the mountain using the forks to fling yourself up to higher platforms.

You can find these Power Moon in Quadrant B4. Warp to the Beneath the Keep flag, then head forward across the bridge where you will see a Green Koopa on the right side. Speak with him to enter the race.

This race is a long one, but luckily the competitors aren't very challenging. Roll when you have straightaways, and use long jump to cross gaps.

If you long jump off the first ledge you can reach the moat in a single bound, giving you an early lead. Go fast when you can and play it safe over treacherous ground and you should easily defeat the Koopas and earn the Power Moon.

You must beat all the other racers to the high ridge on the other side of the map. Use rolls on flat ground and long jumps across gaps to gain a lead.

If you go near any Rocket Flowers grab them with your hat for an extra boost of speed. Reach the goal in first place to get the Power Moon.

Mushroom Kingdom Cup

In the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mushroom Kingdom Power Moon 21 - Mushroom Kingdom Regular Cup and the Mushroom Kingdom Power Moon 22 - Mushroom Kingdom Master Cup are two of the Power Moons in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Below Mushroom Pond in Quadrant D3 there will be a green Koopa Troppa who will challenge you to two consecutive races.
