Make this simple but festive DIY Valentine’s Day Centerpiece for your own house or to add to your holiday inventory. It’s one of my favorite Valentine’s Day centerpiece ideas, and it’s easy enough that anyone can make it!

Hey, y’all! It’s time for another Valentine’s Day decor tutorial. Over here at the Wreath Chateau, we’ve been busy little bees preparing both Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day decor.

And, although we love making wreaths, sometimes we enjoy throwing a little variety in there by making centerpieces or other items. Centerpieces make decorating your tables a breeze and tie all your decorations around the house together!

So now, let’s create a DIY Valentine’s Day centerpiece to add to your decorations – because NO holiday decor is complete without table centerpieces 😉

We’ve invited Coach Jordan over to show you how to do it. As always, his designs are creative and beautiful. Let’s dive into this new Valentine’s Day table centerpiece project!

How To Make A DIY Valentine’s Day Centerpiece

Making centerpieces like this one is really pretty simple. With just a few pieces, you can have a beautiful decoration perfect for the holidays!

Supplies Needed

Here’s everything you’ll need to complete this project. Please note that some links may be affiliate links.

• 1 pine centerpiece base
• 4 greenery sprays (ficus and boxwood)
• 1 floral spray
• 2 black and white curly-cue sprays
• Heart-shaped foam piece
• (1) 2.5-inch ribbon
• Scissors
• Pipe cleaners
• Zip ties
• Wire cutters
• Hot glue and glue gun

Instructions

Prepare to be amazed at how quick and easy this project is to complete! Here’s how:

Step 1

Attach the ficus greenery stems into the evergreen base by twisting the evergreen stems to secure the greenery in place.

Step 2

Next, take your other greenery stems and trim them off the main stems. Then, use hot glue to secure each small stem into place on the base. We’re using this greenery to help cover up some of the evergreen base.

Step 3

Now it’s time to add the heart!

We’re going to have this heart standing up on its side. Remove any tags and hangers. Then, add a pipe cleaner or floral wire into the bottom of the heart.

Curve the wire and slide it into your centerpiece base. Secure it with a zip tie.

Step 4

Insert additional pieces of greenery as needed to fill in any holes in the design. Zip tie them into place.

Step 5

Take your first ribbon and make (2) 8-inch tails with (2) 5-inch loops. Attach this simple bow to your centerpiece by using twisting the evergreen stems to secure the bow in place. Dovetail the ends.

Step 6

Repeat the same process for the bow with the same ribbon and attach it to the backside of the centerpiece.

Step 7

Measure and cut (4) 13” ribbon tails. Insert two into each end of the centerpiece.

Step 8

Grab your black and white curly-cue sprays. Cut the middle stem out and insert each main stem into one end of the centerpiece. Then, insert the middle stems into each side of the centerpiece (in front of and behind the foam heart). Secure these stems in place with a dab of hot glue.

Step 9

Add a piece of the floral stem into each end of the centerpiece just to fill it in a little more.

That’s it y’all! Now You have a beautiful centerpiece ready to decorate complete your Valentine’s Day holiday decor in under 25 minutes. This project would also be terrific for filling up your holiday sales inventory in your shop – centerpieces always sell really well for us!

As always, we encourage you to take this basic design and make it unique by adding your own flair to it. Choose different ribbons or a different Valentine’s Day shape as the highlight.
