Need some clever ways to boost your fun activities with kids? Maybe you're getting ready for Valentine's Day - or just want some simple crafts with heart-shaped themes?

Crafts have always been a big hit in our home. I started doing easy crafts for kids with my boys as soon as they were able to sit up. There's something so special about being able to use your hands to express yourself!
Plus, crafts are fantastic ways for kids of all ages to work on a variety of skills, like:
- fine motor skills
- creative thinking
- self-esteem
- resilience
- self-expression
- confidence
- and so much more!
During my work as an individual and family therapist, I found that having some type of hands-on activity, like coloring, playdough, or crafts, was an incredible way for children to relax and express themselves. With that information (and stories from my mom who's a retired Kindergarten teacher), I knew that I wanted to make sure that my boys had plenty of opportunities for craft time.
