QUEEN CREEK, AZ (AZFamily) — An intersection in Queen Creek is closed following a crash that left a young child seriously injured late Wednesday morning.
The collision happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hunt Highway and Power Road at the Maricopa-Pinal County border.
Aerial video from the scene shows at least three vehicles were involved in the crash. Town officials say a 4-year-old was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hunt Highway will be closed for an extended period of time between Lime Drive and just west of Power Road. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
