Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Choices And Consequences Guide

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’][accordion initial=’1′][accordion_item title=’Release Or Kill Cyclops Thugs’]The first choice you have in the game has to do with the Cyclops thugs that attack you at your house.

Kill Them – If you kill them there is no one to report back to the Cyclops and nothing else really happens.

If You Let Them Live – They will ambush you down the road with two other allies. You get a little bit of loot and some extra EXP this way.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Make Duris Pay Or Leave Him Alone’]Make Duris Pay – To make Duris pay you have two choices, kill him or break some of his vases. If you break two of his vases he will pay you and tell you to leave him alone. I tried to kill him as well but NPCs got involved and it turned into a blood bath. Duris just knelt down and paid me without me interacting with him and I couldn’t kill him after that. I got paid for both methods though.

Update to the above, I also have sick people in Athens now. I don’t think it can be avoided but I also don’t think it is the same disease.

Don’t Make Duris Pay – If you tell the merchant that double is too much and then spare him from the debt, he will give you a rare sword, Duris’s Sword.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Horse Choice’]

They try to trick you here by talking about horse stats and such. They are all the same minus the color so just pick the color you want.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’In The Footsteps Of Gods’]

Couldn’t Find It – You keep the spear for yourself and the woman mentions she might not be able to revive the sanctuary. It was a level 3 rare spear for me, it might depend on your level though.

Let’s Talk About My Reward – 50 Coins and a +2% Assassin Damage engraving.

Donate The Spear – Nothing has happened yet, just EXP for beating the quest.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Hungry Gods’]

I Hear Your Prayer – You can give the woman some money at her house to help her out if you want. You will get bonus EXP and a +2% warrior damage engraving.

– You ignore the woman and leave her to her fate.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Blood Fever’]

Defend Villagers – If you kill the priest and his guards the villagers will leave. Phoibe will get a friend but the result of letting the sickness spread will kill many more. The consequences for this reach further than we had originally thought. I choose to leave the villagers and Smith defended them is his playthrough. People are now getting sick in Athens for him and mine are not. This might be one of the more major choices in the game.

Leave Villagers – You leave and get your EXP. Phoibe will see you do this and call you out on it but the sickness won’t spread.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A Small Odyssey’]

Grow Up – If you tell her to grow up it will open the end options after she gets a little mad at you.

You’ll Get There One Day – She will be happy that you encourage her and explain why she wants to be like Odysseus.

It’s Cute That You Are Determined – She will say she doesn’t normally like when people call her cute. Tell her a few other words you can think to call her and she will be pleased. Or call her ugly if you want to make her mad.

Choice 2

Great Is As Great Does – You try to explain what you think it is to be great and she is not looking for that answer.

Being Great Isn’t East – This seems to be the best choice, she says she will think about what you said and leave for now.

I Don’t Give Advice – She gets upset at you leaves.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Do You Have A Boat?’]

I Have A Boat – If you lie and say you have a boat, you will have to get a boat yourself. Talk to the ship right and he sends you to the Cyclops to steal his ship. Take out Cyclops and Barnabas will help you with his ship.

I Don’t Have A Boat – Same things happen except you don’t lie to your quest giver this way.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Phoibe Choice’]

You’re Too Little – You will tell her she can’t come and she will give you a toy eagle to accompany you.

Kephallonia’s Your Home – Same thing as above, Phoibe has to be left behind.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Markos Hug Or Shake’]

You’re Too Little – Markos will hug you and he will say that he will miss you.

Let’s Shake On It – Markos shakes your hand and says a true sign of partners in business.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A Pirates Life’]This is a side quest you will find while sailing the seas. The first choice has to do with a man you rescue from pirates.

You’ll Pull Through – You can lie to the man, he will see through it and thank you. He will also give you a message to give to his brother.

You’re Not Going To Make It – The man agrees, and gives you a message to give to his brother.

Choice 2
When you return to the quest giver, you can lie or tell the truth.

He Survived – If you lie, the man will call you on the lie and leave. You still complete the quest.

He Didn’t Make It – If you tell him the truth, the man will join your crew and you will complete the quest.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Missing Map’]

Let’s Make A Deal – The spy will give you the tablet and some cash. I was attacked shortly after but I don’t know if it was because of this or because I was close to an Athen’s base. You will also report about the mercenary who got him the Spartan outfit.

You Can Walk Away From This – You will get the tablet and the spy will leave.

You Aren’t Leaving – You kill the spy and get the tablet.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Kill Or Spare The Wolf Of Sparta’]

Kill The Wolf – If you kill the Wolf, there is no battle, you just kill him. Stentor however will walk on you doing it and fight you. You will have to fight Stentor and I am pretty sure I put my blade through his gut and killed him. However he later appeared alive, so you guess you just knock him out? I don’t know but the point is he somehow survived this.

Spare The Wolf – You will still get his sword but you won’t kill him. Stentor will live and you will get a quest line later involving both characters. Both of them are needed for the happy ending.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Wolfs Fate’]

Why Did You Want Nikolaos Dead – If you ask him this then he will tell you there is no profit in a quick war. The next choice doesn’t matter, the end result is fighting his soldiers. For some reason he wants you to kill you mother or father. The end result is hunting down Elpenor.

How Did You Know About Nikolaos – Same with the other choices, you have to face his guards and hunt him down.

I Don’t Care, You Deserve To Die – You won’t get to kill Elpenor here but you will get to beat down both of his guards. When you check out his house you find out that he is selling weapons to both sides and wants to the war to continue. This leads to the next main story mission to find him.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Oracle Of Delphi’]When speaking to Herodotos

Back Off – You tell him to back off of he will get a spear through the throat. He introduced himself all the same, and both choices have the same end result.

Who Are You? – Herodotos will introduce himself and tell you why he is here. He is here because he is working with someone in Athens who wants a question answered by the Oracle.

When speaking to the Oracle.

Where Is My Mother – Both results end the same way, and she sends you away. She calls you out for a past decision before kicking you out though. She mentioned the sickness from the first island for me, and how I killed innocents even though I had no idea what the disease was. That disease spreads like wildfire if you let them live though, so this Oracle doesn’t know as much as she thinks.

Who Is My father – The Oracle freaks out and tells you to leave now. She mentions something about the cult of the Kosmos before you leave.

Outside when speaking to Herodotos again.

The Cult Of The Kosmos – If you tell him about the Cult, he go a quiet place and tells you what he knows about them.

Never Mind – You can try to no tell him about the Cult of Kosmos, but the game makes you.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Family Dinner’]This quest is found in the Sanctuary Of Delphi. It has to do with someone you killed way back on the first island.

I Killed You Brother – The man says there will be a bounty on your head soon.

Maybe Your Brother Left Town – The man knows you are lying and says there will be a bounty on your head soon.

The Cyclops Told Me He Had Bigger Plans For Him – If you pick this option, he will believe you and give you another quest. Drop of the letter to the man’s wife to complete the quest.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Pythia Interrogation’]I’m The One You should Be Afraid Of – Alexios grabs her neck threatens to kill her if she lies. She will tell you what you need to know, and then you leave without killing her. She will tell you Apollo will harm you for this.

Please I need To Know – You get the same answers but without the threat of violence. She will also say May Apollo protect you this time.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Left For Dead’]This quest is found in the Sanctuary Of Delphi. It has to do with someone you killed way back on the first island.

I Killed Elpenor – If you choose this option, the man says you will pay. He will late put a bounty on your head for telling the truth.

Losing Your Family Can Be Very Hard – If you choose this option, the man will ask for some help killing bandits. You get paid and get some leather for helping him out.

I Didn’t Know Him – If you lie to him, he will also ask for your help with some bandits.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Cultist Meeting’]This is a story quest where you deal with the Cultists. You can’t mess up here, it’s all story related so feel free to choose what you want.

I Will Make The Offering – If you choose this option, you cut your hand for the cult. Both options result in you cutting your hand.

I Will Not Make The Offering – If you choose this option, you will say that you pass. You can’t actually pass though, this isn’t a real choice.

Choice 2
This is a pointless choice.

Mother – The man says you’re wrong.

Father – The woman says you’re wrong.

Neither – They both think you are wrong.

Choice 3
This one has to do with a cowardly cultist.

I Don’t Know – If you say I don’t know, then more choices will open. If you do it, you burn the coward and get info from him. If you have the cultist do it, he will think you are a coward but you still get info.

I Won’t Do It

Choice 4
You can try to touch the artifact if you want.

I Want To Touch It – The other cultist will slap your hand away and ask if you have lost your mind.

Back Away – You back away, the cultists won’t let you touch it anyways.

Choice 5
After you leave the cave you will speak to Herodotos again. Any choice you make her doesn’t matter, they all end up saying the same thing.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Sibling Choice’]This quest is found in the Sanctuary Of Delphi. It has to do with someone you killed way back on the first island. There are a lot of choices, but there are only two that actually matter.

I Killed Nikolaos – If you choose this option, and she will go on about friendship bring the answer.

I Never Found Nikolaos – If you lie to your sibling she will get upset. They will say that you think friendship is the answer, and it will lead to you saying you are taking down the cult.

Choice 2
At the end you have to choose how you react to your sibling.

Not Before I Hurt You – You push her, she punches you and she leaves.

You’re Still My Sister – You try to hug your sibling and they say “Don’t Touch Me.” The end result is them leaving.

I’m going – You both leave.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A Friend In Need’]This is a side quest you can find later in the game. You have to retrieve a sword for an old friend.

I Got Your Sword – You hand over Harpe and figure out your friend sold it. You can choose to take Drachmae from him or not, your call. You will get his breastplate for giving his sword back.

I Couldn’t Find Your Sword – You can lie and keep the sword if you want. It is only an epic weapon so it depends on how you feel. For me it had +10% warrior damage, +15% crit damage and +9% damage with swords.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Escape From Athens’]This is a story quest so you can’t miss it. When you talk to the guard to speak with Phidias you will have some choices to make.

Perikles Sent Me – This is the same result as telling him you are Phidias Friend. I paid and killed the guard, either works fine. If you kill the guard, another one comes in after you speak with Phidias that you have to fight.

Phidias Is My Lover – You can lie and be let in. The guard kind of stutters at this comment but it works out for you in the end.

Phidias Is My Friend – If you say he is your friend, you have to pay or fight your way in. You have to pay the guard 500 if you don’t want to kill him.

At the end you can choose from two choices also. This choice doesn’t matter, you get the same rewards regardless.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Ostracized’]When you meet with Sokrates you will get some choices. The only choice that matters in this exchange is the end one, and even then it doesn’t matter much.

I Had To Do It – Sokrates asks if your needs are greater than the man who you Ostracized and asks who is responsible for this.

I Didn’t Do Anything – Sokrates speaks in riddles to you and basically confirms he knows you did it.

Choice 2 – If you pick I had to do it.

Anaxagora Is Responsible – Sokrates hopes that you think about your choices from today, and the story progress.

I Am Responsible – This is the illusion of choice, both answers result in the same thing from Sokrates.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A Venomous Encounter’]This is a story quest and can’t be missed.

I’m Happy To Help – He thanks you for freeing him. The only difference between the two is you get paid for one.

You Owe Me – He will pay you some cold for freeing him.

The next choice comes when you encounter some people outside the snake house.

Tell Me Or Else – You beat them down and get the info off their corpses.

Don’t Protect A Criminal – They give you the info without any trouble.

You can then choose to kill them or let them go, your call. If you kill them they are out of the picture. If you let them go they say they will change their ways.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Perikles Symposium Part 1′]Phoibe will tell you to change your clothes before meeting Perikles.

I Will Change My Clothes – Phoibe is happy and Herodotos likes your fashion choice. He says that you have wisely dressed for the occasion.

I Will Not Change My Clothes – If you don’t change your clothes, Phoibe gets a little upset but it isn’t a big deal. Herodotos comments about your fashion choice, but it isn’t a huge different either way.

The choices about the play writes and Sokrates don’t matter, this is just to give you more info about them.

After seeing the drunk man stumble around.

Alkibiades Seems Interesting – Herodotos says don’t start a fight, or end one.

Parties Aren’t My Specialty – Herodotos reminds you why you are here, avoid fighting and get your info.

When Herodotos says he will leave you to it.

You Should Get Going – Herodotos leaves so no one gets suspicious of what you two are doing.

Don’t Leave Me Alone – Herodotos laughs and says you will be fine.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Oil And Love’]This takes place during Perikles’ Party. Allie will want some oil for his party event. Agree to help him and in the kitchen you can find the oil. When you return you can get the info from him.

Let’s Get These Clothes Off – You join in on the fun inside the private room. You will talk after and he will tell you what he knows about your missing mother. It’s not a direct line to her, but it is a helpful tip.

I’m Only Here For Information – This ends the same way as the other one, except you don’t party with Allie. You get the info about your mother regardless.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Drink UP’]This takes place during Perikles’ Party. Speak with Sophokles and you will get a choice. This choice doesn’t matter, it all ends in the same spot so be as arrogant as you want. Then choose Let’s get Euripides drunk, this will help you get the info you need out of him. You need to get the right wine to get Euripides to open up.

Sweet Wine will get Euripides to puke, that is the one you want to get. This will result in some alone time with you and him.

You Should Have A Drinking Competition – They will like the idea of the challenge. If you brought the wine you can start right away. Oddly enough, Euripidies doesn’t puke but the other guy does. You get the info that you need though.

I Am Here To Serve You – You lie about who you are, but still pour the booze. The result is the same, you get the info about the person in Argos.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Perikles Symposium Part 2′]This is after you do the wine and oil missions. When you speak to Sokrates you get some more choices. These choices don’t matter, the choice at the end is what matters. When the woman comes out to speak with you, you get three choices.

That Wasn’t Me – You can try to lie, but she sees right through it.

You’ve Been Spying On Me – She admits to watching you and says that you are doing what you have to do.

I Did What Was Necessary – She agrees and says that we all do what we have to to survive.

The choice after doesn’t matter, she gives you the info you need regardless. If you didn’t change your clothes she does mention that as well. The choices with Perikles are also pointless at this time, pick what you want. Phoibe asks where you are going next, this choice doesn’t matter because you can go wherever you want.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Citizenship Test’]These choices come up when you find the witness. The first few choices don’t make a difference, the end one is where you choose to be an ass or not.

Do it, or I’ll Make You – If you threaten him he will run and you will have to beat him down. Make sure you use your fists, do not kill the man if you choose this.

I’ll Pay You – Pay him and he will do as you ask, no problems here.

Sophanes Doesn’t Deserve Citizenship – This choice doesn’t matter as much as you might think. The quest giver doesn’t get upset about it at all and you are still rewarded.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’On A High Horse’]If you follow the Horse Thief without killing him, you will get to speak with him. After that you return to Sokrates and you have a choice to make.

He Should Give Back The Horse – You say it doesn’t matter why he did it, he stole the horse. Sokrates is surprised by this choice and asks you if he should be punished.

He Should Keep The Horse – Sokrates says so it depends on the reason whether or not you should be in trouble.

Choice 2

He Should Be Punished – Sokrates agrees but says his companions may differ.

His Actions Are Just – Sokrates says that in times like this people like us decide the law then?

Ultimately this is just to get you thinking, you are rewarded regardless.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A Lifes Worth’]This side quest has to do with slaves and masters. There are choices here, but it ends the same. When you agree to help the master, Sokrates comes up and chats with you. After that chat, you return the Master and complete the quest.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Island Of Misfortune’]There are choices here, but again they don’t matter. You have to pay the 15000 to get the info on your mother. I’m starting to notice that a lot of these choices don’t change much.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’First Do No Harm’]As soon as you get to this quest you get a choice.

No Need To Be Angry – The woman will leave and Sostratos will help you out.

Back Off – If you threaten the woman, you find out she is a priestess of Hera. Sostratos will be happy and help you out as well.

It’s up to you if you want to charge him or not. When you meet with Hippokrates, the choices don’t matter. You get hired for a job whether you like it or not.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Doctor Will See You Now’]When you find Dymas, you will have to make a choice.

I’ll Wait – This option will open up more choices. You can agree to his terms or set your own. If you kill the patient, he will go but he won’t be happy about it. If you knock him out you have to carry him out of the fort. If you agree to get his bone forceps, he will leave willing after you deliver the item.

You’re Coming With Me Right Now – You knock him out and carry him to the camp.

I Could Pay You – He will leave if you pay him, but it costs 10000 gold.

Hippokrates is a little upset if you don’t move quickly, but you are not punished for it.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A Heart For A Head’]There are choices at the end of the quest. You have to choose who the heart is for.

The Farmer – The farmer will thank you and says he will remember this. Right after that quest I was attacked by a mercenary and the girl stood up, I think she is pretending to be sick.

The Wealthy Woman – The woman will thank you and she says her children thank you as well. The farmer threatens you here as well. The sick girl stood up after this one as well!

The Girl – If you give it to the girl, the other two get upset and the farmer even threatens you.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Enough Is Enough’]There are choices at the end of the quest.

I Sure Did – The other priest will curse you to Hades for killing the snakes. The quest giver doesn’t have any info to give you though.

I Did What He Told Me To Do – You throw the priest under the bus and the other guy says he will curse both of you to Hades. You also get no info from the priest with this option.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Written In Stone’]There are choices at the start of the quest.

I Won’t Hurt You – He will escort you to the stones, but this is a very slow quest.

I Will Hurt You – If you threaten to hurt him, he will lead you to the info you are looking for.

At the third slab you will get more choices, all of these lead to the same result. You have to meet the old priest by a tree afterwords for more info.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Ashes To Ashes’]There are choices at the end of the main quest.

Save The Baby – If you save the baby, Chrysis will escape for now. The mother of the child will come get the baby and she will try to justify Chrysis’ actions. Another quest will pop up to kill Chrysis after this though.

Kill Chrysis – If you choose to chase down Chrysis, the baby will die. There will be a choice between saying I will destroy the Cult or I will find the family, this choice doesn’t change the outcome of the quest.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Port Of Lawlessness’]The big choice is at the end of this quest.

I Can Help You – He thanks you and says he looks forward to working with you. You will also reveal that you were once a Spartan and who your father was.

I agreed To Help Anthousa – He says as long as you point your spear towards The Monger, Sparta will thank you. You also reveal you were once a Spartan for this choice also.

After the quest you will have a new ally.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Follow The Boat’]The big choice is at the end of this quest. After you rescue the girl from the pirates, you can bring her back to town or take her somewhere else.

I’ll Take You To Mykonos – She will thank you and you get a side quest to escort her to Mykonos. Now you have to return to Erinna and deal with her. Tell her that she wanted to leave and Erinna will thank you.

Back To Korinith With You – If you bring her back to town, she won’t fight you but she isn’t happy about it. She seemed upset when on the way, but when she gets home she seems relieved that you brought her back. It was a little confusing to be honest.

Both choices seem fine in this one.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’To Help A Girl’]These choices do matter, you are actually timed here. Get all the info you can from Phoibe first, the info she has is important so don’t scold her. I am only putting down the right choices here. Pig Farm, Land deed Deinomenes

Choice 1
Pig Farm – He will say you have bad info, you don’t though.

Choice 2
Deed Of Land – He will accuse you of having a spy at this point.

Choice 3
Deinomenes – He finally gives in and asks how you know all this. He will also give you the info you need from the quest.

At the end you have to forgive Phoibe or tell her not to do it again.

Forgive Phoibe – She explains that she just thought she could help and you thank her for trying.

Don’t Do It Again – You will tell her to listen to you next time and she will agree.

The quest will end shortly after.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Monger Down’]This starts off with a choice, where do you want to take Monger at?

Let’s Take Him At The Theater – If you choose the Theater, you side with Anthousa and face Monger in public. She will appear when he is about to die and you can give her the kill or take it yourself. She doesn’t care either way, but letting her do it is brutal to watch. If you do this, you won’t be able to spare Lagos down the line. He won’t trust you for killing Monger in the street.

I Want To Take Him In The Cave – The cave means you side with Brasidas for the kill. At the end you can drag him to the theater or kill him in the cave. Anthousa wants you to bring him to the theater so everyone can see it. Even if you kill him in the cave, you still get your info. Anthousa gets a little upset at you but she still holds up her end of the bargain. There is another Cultist down the line who won’t trust you if you kill Monger in the street. This will also make Brasidas upset with you when you have to kill the next cultist. This choice will make it possible for you to spare Lagos down the line. (Thanks to Kai and E. Redmark for the comments)

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Arkalochori Axe’]This is a side quest in Messara.

Hand The Axe Over – She thanks you and pays you for your service.

It’s My Axe Now – You keep the axe. It only a blue one and not that great. She also increases your bounty level for doing this.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Swordfish’]This is a side quest in Messara.

I Am Not A Cultist – You tell him this but he does not care. Swordfish has lost his mind from the Labyrinth, but he gives you the info you need. Take him out afterwards because he is a cultist.

I Am Deimos – You will lie and say you are Deimos, a leader in the cult. Swordfish doesn’t care about it, he says he wants out of the cult. At the end you bring him down.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Minotaur Choice’]This happens after you defeat the Minotaur. You can lie to the kid or hand over the ring to prove his father is dead.

He’s Dead – I told the boy his dad was dead. He was sad that he was going to forget him.

I Didn’t Find Him – If you lie to the kid, he will think that his father might have gotten out. You can then tell him to give up looking for him or to keep his hopes up.That choice doesn’t matter because either way he realizes it was impossible for his father to make it.

Choice 2
There’s Nothing I Can Do – If you lie to him he will thank you for trying.

I Found His Ring – If you give him the ring, he says he won’t forget his father now. This is the nice person outcome for sure.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Abandoned By The Gods’]This is a story mission and can’t be missed. Athens has been infected by a plague and you need to figure out what’s going on. When you meet Perikles again you get some choices.

You Look Fine – He will tell you to tell Aspia that, and then you hand over his drugs.

You Don’t Look So Good – He agrees and you hand over his drugs. I love how Alexios just calls it drugs.

Choice 2

You Can’t Blame The Gods – Perikles says that Athen’s fate has been decided, it his beyond him.

The Gods Have Betrayed Athens – He says the same thing as above, except you curse the gods.

Regardless of your choices for this mission, the sad ending is still the same.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Athens Last Hope’]This is a story mission and can’t be missed.

Phoibe Is Dead Because Of You – This is really just a venting session for your character. You blame Aspasia and she says Phoibe would have done it with or without her consent.

The Cult Killed Phoibe – Aspasia is sad to hear the news but there is another matter to attend to right now.

At the end Sokrates says he will stay behind, either choice you make won’t make him change his mind. On the boat, regardless of your previous choices, you and Aspasia make up and she gives you info.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Death And Disorder’]This is a story mission and can’t be missed. I don’t think this choice matters, it might effect something later though.

Sparta Is Corrupt – You will snap at your mother and say that Sparta is corrupt. She defends Sparta and the quest ends.

Sparta Has Changed – You try to explain to your mother that Sparta has changed since you both were last there. She says that you are both still Spartan, and after this battle here you will both go back.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Death And Disorder’]This is a story mission and can’t be missed. When you return from taking out the blockade, there is a minor choice.

I’m With you – She will be happy that you two can fight together.

We Should Focus On Paros – Your mother will agree with you and you can move into the next mission.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’A God Among Men’]This side story has a choice at the end. The guy you rescue claims to be a god, you can agree or disagree.

Empedokles Is A God – The woman will say you made no friends today, Empeokles will be happy with you though. You can suggest he gets clothes if you want, but he won’t listen.

Empedokles Is Not A God – Even if you don’t call him a god, the people rally behind him. He will still ask you for help with another quest.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Ancient Revelations’]This is the quest that has to do with Atlantis. The gatekeeper has to give up his staff, one way or another.

We Have To Seal This Place – The man is reluctant, but there is only one end to this quest. He gives you the staff and perishes.

I’m Taking The Staff – You will actually fight him if this is the case. This surprised me, normally after a threat they just gave up. Pythagoras is no push over either, he has got some solid moves and HP. When the fight is over you take his staff and he dies.

Be warned, once you close of Atlantis you have to go back to the real world for a few minutes.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Home Sweet Home’]There is a choice after you ride with your mother towards Sparta. Some kids are facing wolves and your mother says let them be.

I’m Going To Help Them Anyways – You jump down and help the boys with the wolves. One of the boys won’t make it, you can lie and tell him you are his father to make him feel better. Afterwards you are confronted by a Spartan solider and he says you made the Spartan army weaker as a result. It doesn’t which choice you pick the the solider, the other kid throws you under the bus either way.

Yes Mater – If you leave them, your mother says they are not good to Sparta if they cannot beat some wolves. You will disagree and say Sparta is weaker without warriors. I watched for a little while, I don’t think the child can die to the wolves.

– Your mother explains why they do this to the boys. You disagree and can jump in to fight the wolves if you want.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Kings Of Sparta’]When you meet the kings of Sparta you have a of couple choices to make.

To Find And Kill Our Betrayers – The ask who you think betrayed you and you respond that is what I am here to find out. The rest of the dialogue is the same for both choices.

To Make Sparta My Home – One of the kings says you have no home here anymore. The other says you must prove your loyalty first. They want you to fight for Sparta and to end the war for them.

Regardless you will have to do some tasks for the kings.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Kings Of Sparta’]When you meet the kings of Sparta you have a of couple choices to make.

I’ll Kill The Champions For Sparta – Stentor will be happy you can follow orders, but doesn’t think it will be easy.

Killing The Champions Won’t Help – Stentor says you either complete the mission or die trying, he doesn’t care which. This is assuming you took out the Wolf earlier in the story.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Kill Stentor Or Spare Him’]As you progress in the story you will get the option to kill Stentor.

Kill Stentor – If you kill Stentor you get to loot his body. He has a cultist clue on his body, seems he was working with them for awhile.

Spare Stentor – If you spare him, he will live an appear later in the story.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Kill Mercenary’]You will fight a mercenary when looking for Brasis and your mother.

Help Me Find My Mother – He will say that showing mercy will get you none in return. This will lead to another two choices. Ask him to make you understand and he will mention The Archon has hired them.

Tell Me Where She Is Or Die – He will ask for mercy and then tell you. Ask him who is paying and he will mention The Archon.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’To Kill Or Not To Kill’]There is a big choice here, your mothers plan or Brasidas’ plan.

Your Plan Is Better Brasidas – The plan here is to let Lagos live. Your mother doesn’t like it, but Brasidas says that thousands rely on his food.

Your Plan Is Better Mother – The plan here is to off Lagos. Brasidas will not like it and you mother will say you made the right call.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Diona Choice’]Diona has a twin and you need to pick which one is the cultist. Diona is the right twin, so pick that one and off her.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Kill Or Spare Lagos’]Lagos is a cult member, but he is essential to the Spartan war effort. You have to decide if you want to kill him or not.

Kill Lagos – No room for words, he has to die.

Spare Lagos – This one is tricky. I killed Monger in the theater, out in the public a few story missions ago. As such Lagos didn’t trust me so I had to kill him. The only way you can do this is if you killed Monger in the cave earlier in the game. (Thanks To Kai and E. Redmark for the comments)
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Making The Oil’]This isn’t really a choice, but I figure you all want to do it correctly.

Step 1 – Light the fire
Step 2 – Oil of Athena
Step 3 – Rose petal

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Contender’]You have to replace the former fighter for the Olympics.

I’m His Replacement – The trainer doesn’t really care, he just wants to get to work.

I’m Him – This is a lie and the guy knows you aren’t him. It doesn’t matter, you are fighting either way.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Long Game’]

I’m Your Boss Now – You tell him you are his boss and he better tell you what you want to know.

For That You Will Die – You still get the info, but you kill the Merchant and his bodyguard.

Help Me And I’ll Spare You – He will give you the info, and you can choose to kill him at the end if you want.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Bloody Feast(Spartan Kings Choice)’]Here you must choose which king to call out.

Pausanias – He is the true cultist, but proving it will depend on if you spare Lagos or not. If you don’t, you will get tossed out of Spartan for not having enough proof. IF you spare Lagos, Pausanias will be exiled and you have to hunt him down. (Thanks To Kai and E. Redmark for the comments)

Archidamos – You attempt to prove that Archidamos is a cultist. The proof you have does not prove this and you and your mother are kicked out of Sparta, but not before Pausanias whispers in your ear.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Help You Sibling Or Leave Them To Their Fate’]Your sibling will be tossed under a tree and you can help or leave them.

You Made Your Choice – You tell them that, and a tree falls on you. You are captured and have to break free.

Hold On – You try to help your sibling out from under the tree. This results in a tree falling down on top of you as well. You awaken unarmed and a prisoner of your sibling.

The choices after don’t matter, it is just a conversation between you and your sibling.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Unearthing The Truth’]When you return to Sokrates he will ask you to speak with him. These Sokrates choices don’t seem to be doing much of anything.

I’ll Join You – Sokrates is surprised that you will join him. Either way, you are speaking.

I’m No Speaker – Even if you don’t want to speak you are still tossed up there. One of them illusions of choice situations.

Choice 2
I Am Responsible – Sokrates says that you are almost too insightful and says you are right.

Of Course I’m Not – Sokrates asks if the person would not be safe otherwise. You reply, maybe from me.

Choice 3
I Decide With The Crow – Sokrates asks who is informing the majority though.

People With Expertise Know Better – Sokrates says that your decisions are based off what someone else says in that case. He then asks what if they lie?

Choice 4
I’d Still Follow The Leader – Sokrates says it makes sense to follow someone you are loyal to.

I’d Fine Someone New – Sokrates says it makes sense. If someone lies to you once, they will do so again.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Knights’]When you return to Sokrates he will ask you to speak with him. These Sokrates choices don’t seem to be doing much of anything.

I’m Going To Kill Kleon – Kleon is the leader of the Delian League cultists, and you have to kill him. Sokrates says you need to remember that he is just a man.

I’m Going To Help Brasidas – I have no idea how he is alive, he died on the battlefield for me. This is the second character I saw die that is alive now. Sokrates says that if you run into Kleon, remember that he is just a man.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’We Will Rise’]When you return to Sokrates he will ask you to speak with him. These Sokrates choices don’t seem to be doing much of anything.

I’m Loyal To You – He says you haven’t proven that, unless you spared Lagos, didn’t kill The Wolf and did his choice with Monger. I have not, so he might be more friendly towards you if you did things his way.

I’m Loyal To Myself – Brasidas says he knows that now. He also know if you killed The Wolf or not, he is not happy with you. You will still fight together, but there is now some tension.

Choice 2
I’ll Kill You Mercifully – A quick stab and a quick death, for those feeling merciful.

I’m Going To Kill You Slowly – After all the BS this guy put you through, this is the only logical answer. Instead of a blade you use the water, and drown him slowly.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Sibling End Choice’]At the end you have to pick some choices with your sibling.

The Cult Is Using You – Your sibling says that you are a weed, and that you are trying to destroy her.

You Don’t Need The Cult – You try to speak of peace with her. She asks what you would do with peace? You are both fighters and need war.

Choice 2
I Don’t Want To Fight You – You try to talk her out of fighting by saying you will protect her and not fail her again. You will present her with the Spear of Leonidas and she will stop before striking you. She will live and your mother will thank you for sparing her. You all have dinner, and your sibling and your mother join your crew. If The Wolf and Stentor are alive, they will join you as well.

You Won’t Leave This Mountain Alive – You will fight your sibling in combat. Even for an Ubisoft game this fight is way annoying. Her sword hits further than it should and she can go invincible for awhile. You push her off the cliff after beat her and your mother cries for her loss. She doesn’t get mad at you though, she says she knows you are here to protect the world. The dinner is about your memories and about making new ones. Still, this is a sadder ending for your sibling.
[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Trouble In Paradise’]After you help the Spartans, the commander will ask if you are a Spartan also.

I was Spartan – You say you were Spartan once. The commander says that Spartan blood is eternal and asks your name.

I Am Not Spartan – You say not Spartan, just deadly. The commander says you fight like a Spartan.

Choice 2
Kyra Is Right – Thaletas will lose his cool and he will go fight with his men, with or without you. Thaletas will ultimately die is you pick this choice.

Thaletas Is Right – You agree with him but have a different strategy. Your plan is to get a message to the Spartan ships.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’Paint The Sand Red’]One of the Commanders has a choice option.

You’re Lying – You don’t care for his reasons, you just kill him.

Hide On My Ship – He joins your crew as a lieutenant. He was a purple for me and added Javelin damage.

At the end you can choose to flirt with him if you want. If you choose just Kyra after that he will get upset and you have to fight him.

[/accordion_item][accordion_item title=’The Last Cultist Choice’]Only one cultist remains. There are choices leading up this main one, but they don’t change anything.

I’m Here To Kill You – She says you have no idea what you are doing and you fight her. She is a easy fight and only level 48. You will get her Circlet and that is the last piece to the Demigod set that you got from your sibling.

We Need To Destroy The Artifact – You let Aspasia live but you still destroy the artifact. You still get her Circlet for the Demigod set and it counts as a Cultist defeated so the tree is done.

Do Choices Matter In AC Odyssey?

Many games today, especially those released recently in 2024, offer an illusion of choice for the player. Conversational and dialogue options that look to branch into differing outcomes but in reality, offer nothing more than a change of dialogue as a response. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and many of Ubisoft’s more recent Assassin’s Creeds game, is the total opposite. The choices you make can have profound consequences, both immediately and over the duration of the game.

Do Choices In AC Odyssey Alter The Story?

Massively so, some characters can live, some can die, the ending can change depending on the choices you make during the game. It’s always a good idea to save frequently so if a choice has an immediate outcome that is undesirable, it’s only ever a quick load to fix the problem.

What’s The Best Assassin’s Creed Games

Assassin’s Creed really started to come into its own once Assassin’s Creed Black Flag released. Since then we’ve had the opportunity to explore Egypt, England, Ireland, its been a crazy ride. Most often, when discussed with passionate fans, AC Black Flag is given the top spot but for us, AC Odyssey is probably the best in the franchise.
